Omega 3 is useful for curing and preventing heart diseases, obesity, high blood pressure, and some other health conditions. One needs to consume omega 3 separately as it is not produced by the body. Omega 3 works along with omega 6. The omega 3 is the group of polyunsaturated acids. It is found only in the fish and in a few vegetable oils. Omega 3 offers many benefits to one’s body. There are three types of omega 3 acids used in the body. Docosahexaenoic acids (DH), Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) are the three types. AHA is converted in two other types of fatty acids. EPA and DHA are the two most important types of omega 3 fatty acids that need to be included in one’s diet. Both of them are found mainly in the fish oils.

 

It is quite easy to include foodstuffs containing omega 3 in one’s diet. One of the best sources for including the omega 3 fatty acids is by consuming the oily fishes. Moreover, omega 3 could be found in some other foodstuffs like cauliflower, cabbage, brussel sprouts, flax seeds, walnuts, tofu, spinach, broccoli, herrings, soybeans, snapper, and shrimp. The Alpha linolenic acid could be found in the soybeans, walnuts, dark leafy vegetables, and pumpkin seeks. DHA and EPA are usually found in fish.

 

The body needs omega 3 fatty acids. However, they are not produced by one’s body on own. Thus, one is requires to consume them. In order to maintain good health, one needs to consume omega 3 in one’s diet. The main purpose of including omega 3 in one’s diet is to allow the right amounts of nutrients to enter one’s cells and throw out all unwanted and waste products off the cells. Omega 3 could serve many purposes. It helps reducing the inflammation. It helps lowering the amounts of lipids in the bloodstream. It helps preventing the clotting of blood and helps improving the ability to respond the insulin in the body.
